2. Gurmukhi Text for Tere Mer Da Bolinaa
Posted by: "gurujasharijiwan" gurujas@harijiwan.com gurujasharijiwan
Date: Wed Apr 22, 2009 8:26 am ((PDT))
Sat Nam Everyone,
I have searched everywhere but cannot find the Gurmukhi text for Tere Mer Da Bolinaa. I don't believe it is in the Siri Guru Granth Sahib or the Dasam Granth (if I am wrong, a page number would be so great!). I think it is something Yogi Bhajan gave that perhaps does not have a scriptural reference? I am starting to think the Gurmukhi text does not exist! What do you think?
I do not want to write it myself by "sounding it out", because I want the accuracy to be perfect. I would be deeply grateful for some help if anyone can send me the text, a link, or any leads/ideas
Thanks
Sat Nam

Question:
1) Is the child you helped raise also homosexual?
2) Why are there homosexual organizations just to be homosexual? and
how can this not be separatist?
Comments:
1) There are no heterosexual organizations just to be heretosexual.
2) Why can't everybody just be!! Do their yoga and go about their lives!
A lot more people than not do not care whom you have sex with or
whatever tickles your fancy.
3) Now Kundalini yoga appears to be slowly becoming the yoga for
homosexuals, NOT that it is, but that there are these organizations and
organizations that advocate this group as a separate entity. Why can't you
just practice yoga for crying out loud!!!? And teach and reap the health
benefits from it, and the great prosperity that comes along regular practice.

Subject: [Kundalini-Yoga] Re: Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender Yahoo Group
As a number of people have asked me for the URL for the Rainbow Sangat I have decided to look up the original invitation from the group's Moderator and reply to the post so that people interested in the group can access it. The URL for the Rainbow Sangat is:
http://groups. yahoo.com/ group/rainbowsan gat/join
As one member recently noted, she felt sad when the the Rainbow Sangat had formed because she was hoping that these discussions could take place in the greater sangat. It would be my hope as well that we could continue to have a dialogue in this medium.
One fear that some have expressed has been that the Rainbow Sangat would create a separation from the rest of the community. What I have heard from various people in the Rainbow Sangat is that nobody wants to see that happen. It deserves mentioning that while it may seem from my previous post that I am coming from an integrated place, I owe some of that integration to many, many people in the larger sangat who have extended so much love, acceptance, nurturing and support to me in all aspects of who am of which my sexual orientation is just one small part. The last thing I would ever want to do is to separate from them. My hope is that the existence of the Rainbow Sangat can serve not to separate us but to make us even more cohesive as a community.
In the past 50 years the movement for glbt rights has been a movement of separation, agitation, and antagonization. There was a time and place for this to take place and it was appropriate in order for us to do the work we needed to do which has catapulted us into the place where we are today. When I came out in 1984 I didn't know that other people like me existed. Today the 9 year old child that I helped raise from my last relationship is getting up in front of her school and making speeches in support of Gay Marriage and she tells me that she felt completely supported in doing so. This seems like a miracle that so much could have changed in 25 short years.
The paradigm of separation, agitation and antagonization is an old paradigm that may no longer serve us in this context. My hope is that we can begin to operate from a new paradigm of mutual honor and respect, vibrating the cosmos, recognizing the other in ourselves, understanding with compassion, finding a way through our blocks, starting now to release the pressure (Please note that I am referencing Yogi Bhajan's Sutras for the Aquarian Age here). In our silence we have unanswered questions, we become paranoid and fearful, we begin to project these fears on to one another and begin throwing around painful accusations that can only serve to create misunderstandings that divide and separate us. My hope is that the time has come for this community to begin to break this silence and start searching for answers so that we can be more joined than ever before. I invite people in this forum to continue to ask questions on this subject and continue to post
responses and engage in discourse.
In Loving Service,
Sunderta

Sat Nam Sunderta KaurJi,
As you've mentioned in your original post:
"> As one member recently noted, she felt sad when the the Rainbow Sangat had formed because she was hoping that these discussions could take place in the greater sangat. It would be my hope as well that we could continue to have a dialogue in this medium."
I believe that this sangat is very much inclusive in nature, but also understand that some people may feel more comfortable discussing about certain topics within a smaller group setting. I wouldn't be sad about this unless the Rainbow Sangat forgets about this community. If there's constant communication between the two sangats and its members, then there really is no separation.
Blessings,
Nadh Singh

4. Is there homeopathic remedies for traveling to India?

I may be going to India. I do not like the idea of the medical shots we should take. Traditional medicine can cause a lot of harm to our bodies. I am wondering if there are homeopathic remedies that would be better to take before I go?
I appreciate all the information I can get homeopathic or other remedies.

Sat Nam everyone,
I recently learned about Panj Karma recently, not having heard of it before, so I did a web search and stumbled on this page I found interesting:
http://www.unani.com/comparison.htm
It compares Ayurvedic medicine to other types, including Western medicine. Interesting observations for sure.

It is this side to side motion of the jaw and teeth, you dont need to do it hard, just in a natural way. While doing this, as you say you keep the mouth closed, and looking into the 'third eye' with eyes closed, silently chant SA TA NA MA. So grind to one side SA, then to the other TA, then back with NA, then to the other side with MA and so on.

Some dentists may graciously advise against repetitive side-to-side grinding, as this would wear down enamel. The result can be achieved just with alternating the pressure without creating friction on the back teeth, IMHO.

Dear Fateh,
You qoute:

This is exactly the same thing! Think about it!

Sat nam Sat Inder Singh-
All I have to say is Wahe Guru, Wahe Guru, Wahe Guru, Wahe Guru!!!
I've been wearing my turban more and more to work, which at first people looked at me funny, made nervous comments. Today, with me turbaned with a flow-y white scarf, my co-worker turns to me and says "I love it when you dress like that, you make me feel peaceful and calm".
I thought, that is the best complement I've ever had. That's the greatest payoff for this lifestyle, having the inner peace we've created vibrate out and inspire and affect others, just with our presence. Peace in our hearts, in our homes, in our lives, in our communities, in the nation, in the world.
Keep rockin on! Kehar Kaur

It always seemed like too personal a journey to leave up to someone else, to me anyway, even at 16.

Again, right back to where I stood already with my original church.

Duh!

Then this past 2 years as I've gotten deeper into in and mostly practicing sets laid out by Yogi Bhajan rather than hatha yoga (lately anyway) and feeling better and better, and attending my first White Tantric Yoga and buying more books and reading more of his teachings and ideas of things I began to wonder. And then came across this discussion.

He initially didn't even want people to become Sikh, just to become teachers and spread the teaching around the country to get everyone more prepared for the oncoming Aquarian age and was flabbergasted when they started wearing turbans and following Sikhism, which I have even found myself diving into its teachings.

Does it matter what so and so thinks, not really. I want to become the biggest, most gracious, wonderful, abundant, powerful and loving expression of god I can, to lead by example and to inspire others to want that inner glow that I am now told I have. And to have those clear bright eyes that I am now told I have, and to be the best individual they can be, no matter the circumstance.

And walk down the street with my head held high, even with my unruly beard and hair getting longer by the day and my white shirts on and my kara worn on my wrist, prayer beads, all of it.

> I know I'm in touch with the god that lives in my soul and I want that to shine out thru my body and inspire others to want to get in touch with the god thats in them and so on and so on, so I'm not worried what anyone thinks about the fact that I'm a gay man, who may or may not become a baptised Sikh but who for sure is going thru his teacher training to become KRI certified this fall and will be proud to be a gay man teaching kriyas and meditations as laid out by YOgi Bhajan.
